12. VCCV English
VCCV English is the most complete English system out there, and, in my opinion, the easiest to learn and use, especially if you have no knowledge of phonetics.

The Mechanics
VCCV was developed as a means of making CZ's research more accessible to UTAU users. It's derived from CVVC with some notable changes in concept - namely, the use of three different types of VC's and splitting CCV into CC and _CV. The bank functions along the same priciple as CVVC in that V C and CV are intended to make two halves of a VCV. Recording and otoing methods focus on preserving the natural transition and timing of the recordings, as well as to save time without sacrificing clarity. The otoing method is also designed to eliminate guesswork when making a UST.
The Base Oto
CZ provides a base oto with the reclist, so as long as you record according to her tutorial you won't need to do anything further.
I'm not re-hashing this again
Thing is, CZ already made a tutorial. And I already wrote it down. So instead of repeating myself, I'm just going to emphasize how important it is for you to read/watch these tutorials and follow their directions. Any other method is just going to make your life worse, trust me. This oto has over 3000 lines - do yourself a favor and take every available short cut.
Just some small tips:
Just some small tips:
- The overlap must always be half the preutterance. I'm not kidding you will screw up your envelopes so hard
- VC and VC- ARE NOT THE SAME
- Not following these directions will make USTing much more difficult, as the system is designed to eliminate guesswork.
- The diphthongs in VCCV are O, A, I, 8, and Q. Make sure to oto them accordingly.
