AL2: Vowel Endings
Level: 7
A common extra in UTAU banks is vowel endings: ending breaths, natural endings, etc. Most banks have them, and they improve how natural the bank sounds, and add emotion. As they are extras, there are no uniform guidelines for aliasing, but I will list the most common aliases used.

Natural Endings
The natural ending is simply the end of the vowel, with no noticeable breath or hard stop. To oto these, typically I make them from the vowel samples in the bank by adding an extra line to the oto. Some people make recordings specifically for this purpose, but it doesn't matter too much as long as there's adequate silence at the end of the recording.
A natural ending should have the preutterance at the end of the vowel, with the overlap at or before the end of the consistent portion of the vowel. Keep the specific values consistent with the rest of the bank. Have the consonant cover any slight breath/reverb/residual noise and allow plenty of silence between the consonant and the right blank.
Common aliases: [a -], [a R]

End Breaths
End breaths are samples where the vowel ends with a noticeable exhale. Usually samples are recorded explicitly for this purpose.
Otoing end breaths is much like otoing natural endings. The preutterance should go at the end of the vowel before the breath, and the overlap should be before the vowel becomes inconsistent. The consonant, however, should cover the entire breath portion, with silence between it and the right blank.
Common aliases: [a h], [a hh], [a_h], [a_hh], [a R], [a 息], [あ息]

Ending Inhale
Some banks include samples where the singer inhales immediately after the end of the vowel. These should be otoed exactly like ending breaths, where the consonant covers the entire breath.
Common aliases: [a br], [a_in], [a 吸]

Ending Exhale+Inhale
A rarer type of sample. It's recorded like an ending breath with an inhale immediately afterwards. Oto these the same way, and make sure the consonant covers both breaths entirely.
Common aliases: [a 息吸]
