17. Uncommon Bank Types
So what do you do when you want to oto a bank that's experimental? Perhaps you've made your own homebrew reclist, or you've seen a reclist that you just don't understand. How do you oto it?
Creatively. Don't just call on your knowledge of other systems, but use your understanding of how the parameters function in the first place. For example, if you wanted to make an ending consonant that can be paired with any vowel, you could put the overlap at the end of the vowel so the cross-fade fades it out completely. Or you could record the consonant on its own, and use the overlap to fake the natural fade out, like in CV.
Obviously I can't tell you anything specific, because I don' know what you're working with. But I can tell you that this is your time to think outside the box and do something unexpected. Experiment with new methods. Get creative. Stretch the limits of the UTAU program as far as they can go and see what happens.
And with that, I've taught you everything I can. Goodluck! And feel free to send me questions!
