So I saw an email that I'd gotten a form entry and it was spam but that made me notice quite a few others that were mostly also spam but it turns out someone actually submitted a question last month and I'd totally ignored it XD So I'm deeply sorry about that, here goes. From Louie May: Hi, I found your page, and it was very useful, thank you! The problem I'm having is that I'm done with the recordings, the oto, but I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm not sure if this has been asked before or if it's a stupid question :< My recordings in setParam were like this (I'm making an Spanish CVVC): a_e_i_o_u (x 5 times, of course) but I don't know how to save the the selected segments (a, e, i, o & u) of the recording separately, so as to make the voicebank, the spanish tutorial i was watching didn't explain it ;;. Again, thank you for the info, it helped me a lot with my work :) I'm glad you found this site helpful! But I gotta be honest, I don't entirely understand what you mean ^^;
Recordings like that aren't usually divided into multiple recordings; in order to separate the sounds like I think you're describing, you'd make multiple lines of the same recording in the oto (a line for "a", a line for "e", etc.). To do this in setparam you can hit Ctrl+D to make a new line from the same recording; to do it in UTAU you'd hit the "Duplicate" button in the voicebank settings (on the right, under the fields for the numbers). Then you enter in the "Alias" column what the sound should be refereed to (so for "a" you'd put a, etc.). And then in UTAU, when you're using the bank, you'd type whatever the alias was set to as the lyric in the note. I think I may have briefly touched on aliasing in some of my advanced tutorials. Other than that, remember you can always look at the oto of someone else's voicebank as an example!

I went through and fixed buttons/added missing links. Special thanks to Yoichi for helping sift those out!
After two full days of work the site is finally up! The home page looks a little screwy for mobile users, and I apologize that there isn't a way I can fix that. The tutorial pages seem to be in working order on mobile though, don't worry.
In addition, I've added more links and references with regards to Delta English, both on the tutorial page itself and in the reclist links. Hopefully this will help compensate for my complete lack of knowledge on the system XD Otherwise, I'm just excited! This was a big project, and I'm glad it's finished. |
